I designed the cover for the book ‘Hogere Natuurkunde’ by Ellen Deckwitz. The book contains Dutch poems inspired on stories of the writer’s Indonesian grandmother. In my design I chose the roots to symbolize the writer’s family roots. The pattern style of the roots are inspired on Indonesian batik fabric.

The drawing is made using pencil by hand and the cover is printed in one PMS color.
