For my grandfathers 90th birthday I made a little recipe booklet with recipes from my grandmother. To celebrate his birthday but also to honour my grandmother and her cooking (who unfortunately past away in 2015).

The booklet is called “de Vlaamse pot” which means (literally) Flemish cauldron. Because my grandparents are both Flemish I wanted to focus on Flemish recipes. The recipes where collected with the help of my grandfather and published  in private for family & friends.

The typeface used for the plain text is Marjolein. The title is set in a new experimental typeface. I also created the illustrations and printed the booklet in offset.
